ILLUSTRATION

A lot of hands coming from all directions. Drawn with charcoal.

About
Illustration has been one of my earliest passions within graphic design. I enjoy both digital and traditional drawing, using imagination as a bridge to bring texts and stories to life. One of my first projects was a children’s book about a stray dog and cat who became friends, illustrated in a rough, cartoon-like style with a unique messy charm. From this, Potato Cat was born—a distinctive character that later found its place in an exhibition at the town hall of St. Pölten (November 2022 – February 2023). I also enjoy merging illustration with poster design, creating visual narratives that blend media and techniques. Working with mixed media is not just part of my process. It is where I find the most joy.

I also created a series of illustrated cards depicting Slavic mythical creatures to connect with my cultural heritage and revive forgotten figures. My style is often colorful expressive and personal, with a recurring motives of the eye representing introspection and the human soul. I explore themes such as loss, love and acceptance and often focus on contemporary issues and emotions. I enjoy experimenting with different media from acrylics and charcoal to illustration and film, each allowing me to explore new creative possibilities. Across all projects my work aims to tell stories evoke emotions and offer unique perspectives.
